Our Eclipse Programmes
We are preparing three ways to see the eclipse from Luxor. Hotels, ships and the viewing site are being confirmed; send us your travel style and we will send the full plan and price as soon as it is final. For times, durations and eye safety, read our guide to the 2027 eclipse in Egypt.
Luxor Eclipse Stay (4–5 days)
A hotel in Luxor, private viewing of totality at a site chosen for space, shade and an open sky, and guided visits to Karnak, Luxor Temple and the Valley of the Kings, with the option of a sunrise balloon flight.
Eclipse Nile Cruise (4–5 nights)
A cruise between Luxor and Aswan, timed so that you are in the path of totality near Luxor on 2 August, with Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan.
Egypt Eclipse Journey (8–10 days)
Cairo, the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, then Luxor for the eclipse and a Nile cruise to Aswan. Add Abu Simbel or the Red Sea if you wish.
Heat and eye safety
Early-August afternoons in Luxor are often around 41°C, and the eclipse happens around midday, so we plan shade, water and early or late sightseeing. Use eclipse glasses that meet ISO 12312-2 for every partial phase.
Planning your trip
Every eclipse trip is private and can be shaped around your dates. Send us an enquiry and we will hold your place as soon as the programmes are final.
