Private Egyptologist guides, five-star hotels, Nile cruises and dahabiyas, and domestic flights between the highlights
A luxury trip to Egypt is not only about a better hotel. It is the difference between queueing with a coach group at noon and walking into a tomb with your own Egyptologist when it is quiet; between a long drive and a one-hour flight; between a crowded ship and your own cabin on a dahabiya. Our luxury Egypt tours are private from start to finish, built around five-star hotels, expert guides and an unhurried pace.
The Nile between Luxor and Aswan is the heart of any trip. A luxury Nile cruise gives you a five-star floating hotel with a pool, spa and fine dining, and visits Edfu and Kom Ombo on the way. A dahabiya is a traditional sailing boat with only a handful of cabins: quieter, slower and more personal, mooring at islands and villages that the big ships pass by. For couples and small families who value privacy, the dahabiya is the most exclusive way to see the Nile.

Lowest price per person sharing a double room; it varies with the season and the hotels you choose.
Every trip can be changed: add nights, upgrade a hotel, include a sunrise hot-air balloon flight over Luxor, or ask for a completely tailor-made itinerary.
October to April is the most comfortable time for sightseeing; December and January are the busiest and most expensive weeks, so book early for Christmas and New Year. Summer is hot inland but quieter, with lower prices. See the best time to visit Egypt for each month.
It depends on the length, the season and the hotels and ship you choose. The table above shows the lowest price per person for each of our luxury trips, sharing a double room. Christmas, New Year and Easter cost more.
Five-star hotels or a luxury cruise, a private Egyptologist guide, private transfers and transport, domestic flights where listed, entry tickets for the sites in the itinerary, and the meals shown in each day of the programme.
A dahabiya is smaller, quieter and more personal, with only a few cabins and stops at places the big ships miss. A luxury cruise ship has more facilities, such as a pool and spa. Both sail between Luxor and Aswan.
Seven to ten days covers Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and a Nile cruise at a relaxed pace. Add three or four days for the Red Sea or a dahabiya.
Yes. Every trip is private, so the dates, hotels, pace and sights can all be changed, and we can build a trip from scratch around your interests.
The main tourist areas are open and widely visited, and on a private trip you are met, driven and guided throughout. Read our guide: is Egypt safe to travel?
