1 / 12Steigenberger Resort Achti is a riverside resort at the end of Khaled Ibn Walid Street on Luxor’s east bank, set in green gardens that run down to the Nile. With around 280 rooms over four floors, it is calmer and more resort-like than the hotels on the busy Corniche, yet Luxor Temple is only about five minutes away by car. Rooms start with Classic and Superior rooms with city or garden views and move up to Deluxe Nile-view rooms, Nile-view junior suites and two-bedroom Royal and Presidential suites of around 150 m², which work well for families. Two outdoor pools and a children’s pool sit among the gardens, and poolside bars keep drinks and snacks close at hand. Dining options include the Karnak restaurant for buffets, Nino’s for Italian dishes, Mezzeria and the Sukkareya lobby bar and terrace, with 24-hour room service available. There is a full-service spa, a conference area of more than 200 m² and free parking on site, and the tour desk can organise trips to Karnak, the Valley of the Kings and the Colossi of Memnon. It suits couples and families who want a relaxed Nile-side resort with easy access to Luxor’s main sights.
Location: About 22 min drive from Luxor International Airport (LXR). Nearby: Luxor Corniche (2.7 km, 4 min by car), Luxor Temple (3.1 km, 5 min by car), Karnak Temple (5 km, 7 min by car), Colossi of Memnon (15 km, 25 min by car), Valley of the Kings (20.8 km, 32 min by car).
