Luxor Temple unlike the other Temples in the City was not constructed for the worship of a figure or a God of the Kings but was constructed solely for the rejuvenation of Kingship.

The Valley of the Kings is a portal to paradise and was used by the greatest Kings and Queens of Egypt’s new Kingdom between 1570 and 1070 BC. The Valley of the Kings holds the resting place of some of the most important Pharaohs such as Ramses II, Hatshepsut, Amenhotep I, and Tutankhamun. As well it contains 63 Tombs filled with amazing statues, artifacts, treasures, and remarkable decorations. In 1979 the Valley of the Kings became a World Heritage site by UNESCO.

The legendary Colossi of Memnon is the protector of the Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III. The Temple consists of two outstanding twin statues that sit at the entrance of Luxor and it gained its fame due to its majestic appearance.

The High Dam in Aswan is a modern engineering marvel that controls the Nile’s flow and provides hydroelectric power to Egypt.
