Tour Itinerary

Enjoy a private tour from Cairo to Luxor and explore the ancient wonders of the city with a qualified Egyptologist. You will be picked up from
your hotel in Cairo in the morning and transferred to the airport. When you land in Luxor, your private guide will welcome you and take you to the following attractions:
Valley of the Kings
Marvel at the ancient wall paintings in the Pharaohs' tombs, dating back more than 3000 years. The Valley of the Kings is home to 64 tombs of the New Kingdom's rulers (from around 1550 to 1069 BC, 18th to 20th Dynasty). You can explore three of these tombs and witness the stunning art and craftsmanship. The most famous tomb belongs to Tutankhamun, whose golden treasures were unearthed by the Englishman Howard Carter in 1922.
Hatshepsut Temple
Built in 1470 BC by the architect Senenmut, the terraced temple of Queen Hatshepsut is a remarkable example of ancient Egyptian architecture. The temple belongs to the 18th Dynasty and honors the female pharaoh who ruled as a man, as shown by the statues that still stand in the temple. The temple was later converted into a Christian monastery that lasted until the 11th century, and then dismantled in the 19th century.
Colossi of Memnon
The Colossi of Memnon are two colossal statues from the 14th century BC, located near the ancient city of Thebes. They are about 18 meters high and depict the pharaoh Amenhotep III, who built a temple complex behind them. The statues were originally flanked by other smaller statues and pillars, but most of them were destroyed by earthquakes and floods. The Colossi of Memnon are among the oldest and largest surviving monuments of ancient Egypt.
Lunch on the Nile
Enjoy lunch on an island, with a boat trip on the Nile River adding to your experience.
Karnak Temple
The holy family of Thebes, Amun-Re, Mut, and Chonsu, were honored by the ancient Egyptians in the largest temple complex ever built. The temple took more than 2000 years to complete. One of its most impressive features is the grand hall with 134 columns shaped like papyrus plants, which was initiated by Sethos and finished by Ramses II.
Return to Cairo
Finally, you'll return to Luxor airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel, marking the end of your remarkable day tour to Luxor from Cairo.
