Tour Itinerary

Your 4-day Nile cruise during Easter 2024 begins with a warm greeting from your guide at Aswan Airport. You will board a 5-star Nile cruise ship and enjoy the scenic views of the river and the ancient monuments along the way.

Note:

A qualified Egyptologist, your tour guide, will be with you on board and lead the sightseeing tours during your Nile cruise in Egypt.

Enjoy a scenic lunch on board, overlooking the stunning landscape of Aswan city with its lush islands and red granite cliffs. Afterward, you’ll explore the nearby attractions on a boat ride to Agilika Island on the Nile. There, you’ll discover the magnificent:

Philae Temple

Philae Temple

Originally located on Philae Island south of Aswan, the Philae or Isis Temple was threatened by the rising waters of the Nile after the High Dam was built. To save this ancient monument, a massive project was undertaken to move the temple to Agilika Island from 1977 to 1980. The temple was once converted into a church in 553 AD, which caused some damage to the reliefs depicting the Egyptian gods and goddesses.

Next, you’ll visit the impressive:

The High Dam

The High Dam

A massive engineering project in Egypt, was built by President Nasser’s order between 1960 and 1971. It created one of the largest artificial lakes in the world, Lake Nasser, which stretches for 500 km and reaches a maximum width of 32 km. The dam itself measures over 3800 meters in length, 111 meters in height, and about 40 meters in width at the top.

Once the program is over, you’ll board your ship again. Have a wonderful night admiring the stars of Aswan and anticipate the next days of your journey.

Today is a special day for you. You can either join a private tour to the magnificent Abu Simbel temples, where you will marvel at the colossal statues of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari, and learn about the ancient history and culture of Egypt. Or, you can enjoy a relaxing morning in Aswan, where you can explore the colorful souks, visit the Nubian Museum, or take a felucca ride on the Nile. Whatever you choose, you will have an unforgettable experience.

Abu Simbel Temples

Abu Simbel Temples

A masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture. The temple was carved out of the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II, and it consists of two twin temples. The main temple was dedicated to the king and the smaller one was built to honor his beloved queen Nefertari.

Your day will start early as you board a private vehicle with your personal guide and head to Abu Simbel. Along the way, you will witness the desert sunrise and the mirage phenomenon on your way back.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a cruise from Aswan to Kom Ombo. You will admire the scenic views of the Nile as you sail to Kom Ombo, where you will visit the:

Kom Ombo Temple

Kom Ombo Temple

Standing on high grounds overlooking the Nile this Temple is different from other Temples because of its double entrance. The Temple of Kom Ombo was built in honor of two Deities the ancient falcon-headed Horus and the crocodile-headed Sobek, God of fertility and creator of the World. Also, the importance of the Kom Ombo lies in its huge sugar cane.

After visiting the Kom Ombo Temple, the ship heads towards Edfu.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast on board as you sail towards one of the most impressive ancient monuments in Egypt:

Edfu Temple

Edfu Temple

A majestic Temple dedicated to the Horus Edfu Temple is considered by most to be the best-preserved cult Temple in Egypt. According to the Egyptian myths, the Temple was believed to be the place where Horus the falcon-headed God revenged the murder of Osiris his Father by killing Seth.

The next stop on your captivating cruise is Luxor, where you will moor for the night. After enjoying a delicious lunch on board, you will join your guide for a visit to the East Bank of Thebes, where you will marvel at the magnificent:
